An army of rubber ducks is apparently about to invade the British islands after being at sea for more than a decade.
They went overboard when a container ship went into stormy weather about 15 years ago, sending 30 thousand of the plastic bathtime companions to do what they can do best: swimming. After quite some journey, including some time frozen into arctic ice, some of the suriviors have made landfall in the eastern U.S. and are expected to arrive in masses at the British beaches. It took ages, but now it‘s here again. I have finished my work on Moving ASCII 2.0, and now it‘s available for download.
Great timing, as usual… just two days after Erica Sadun ran an article about creating ASCII Art (http://www.tuaw.com/2007/05/20/terminal-tip-ascii-ify-your-videos). And, of course, german site Macnews.de ran an article about that too.
For those who don‘t know what Moving ASCII is: it‘s a small utility that lets you create ASCII Art from images and movies. New with version 2.0 is the ability to save the output as a text file, too.
